Summary
This role involves supporting the Welsh Government-funded Communities for Work Plus (CFW+) programme within the Vale Employability service. The position is focused on providing personalized employability support, mentoring, and guidance to unemployed individuals, assisting them in overcoming employment barriers, accessing training and development opportunities, and progressing towards sustainable employment. The role demands effective management of caseloads, collaboration with partners, and precise documentation of participant information to fulfill programme and funding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Offer one-on-one employability support, job search assistance, and mentoring to unemployed individuals.
- Manage a caseload of participants using a holistic, person-centered, and collaborative approach.
- Develop detailed support plans and individual action plans tailored to clients' needs and employment objectives.
- Conduct assessments, reviews, and progress monitoring to ensure participants receive appropriate support.
- Identify employment barriers and assist individuals in accessing training, education, skills development, and employment opportunities.
- Deliver or facilitate employability-related workshops, training sessions, and development activities for individuals and groups.
- Participate in the CFW+ triage process to ensure clients receive the most suitable support and interventions.

Requirements
- Experience in providing employment, careers, training, welfare-to-work, community, or mentoring support services.
- Experience in managing a caseload and supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Experience in developing action plans, conducting assessments, and monitoring progress against agreed objectives.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
- Relevant qualification in Advice and Guidance, Employment Support, Community Development, Youth Work, Social Care, Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Information
- Working hours are 37 hours per week.
- This is a temporary role initially until 31/03/2027 due to funding, with a requirement to travel across the Vale of Glamorgan.
- The position is based at Palmerston Education Centre, Cadoc Crescent, Barry, CF62 2NT, United Kingdom.
- Work pattern includes community-based activities, with 2 days in the office and the remainder in outreach, working from home, or at The Pod.
- The role operates on a bi-weekly payment schedule.
