Are you a skilled, hands-on professional with plumbing experience who enjoys varied, practical work and takes pride in delivering high-quality results?
We're looking for a dedicated Plumber / Cabin Fitter to join our JP Accommodation Team at our Grangemouth Depot.
How This Role Supports The Delivery Of Hire Solutions
Your work plays a vital role in delivering reliable, high quality accommodation solutions to our customers. By ensuring cabins are fitted out, maintained, and fully operational, you help minimise downtime, improve turnaround times, and ensure customers receive clean, compliant, and ready-to-use units when and where they need them.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and test plumbing systems within portable accommodation units, including water, waste, and sanitary systems.
- Diagnose and rectify plumbing faults, leaks, blockages, and general maintenance issues.
- Fit out, refurbish, and repair accommodation units to customer specifications and company standards.
- Carry out a range of practical tasks including plumbing, joinery, painting, welding, and minor electrical work.
- Prepare units for hire by ensuring all facilities are clean, safe, compliant, and fully functional.
- Conduct inspections and safety checks on plumbing installations and associated cabin systems.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure materials, fittings, and equipment are available for upcoming jobs.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and removal of accommodation units on customer sites when required.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and materials used.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies at all times.

What Makes You a Good Fit for This Role?
We'd love to see the following skills and experience from our applicants:
- Previous experience in a plumbing, cabin fitting, accommodation maintenance, or similar role.
- Proven plumbing experience, including installation, maintenance, and repair of water and waste systems.
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (SVQ/NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable.
- Experience working within modular buildings, welfare units, portable accommodation, or construction environments would be advantageous.
- Basic joinery and general maintenance skills are essential.
- Ability to carry out a wide range of tasks to a high standard, often working to deadlines.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid CSCS card is desirable but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
N.B. Applicants are expected to supply their own basic hand tools. Jarvie Plant will provide all necessary specialist tools, PPE, and branded workwear.
