We’re looking for an experienced Cable & Survey Senior Team Lead to join our Town Build team.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role, providing oversight and coordination across all four Cable & Survey teams. You’ll work closely with the Town Manager and Cable & Survey Supervisor to make sure our teams are working safely, efficiently and consistently, while keeping delivery on track against KPIs and expected delivery dates.
You’ll directly lead one team while providing wider support and direction across the other three. This means you’ll need to be comfortable switching between leading from the front on site and providing wider operational oversight.
You’ll also act as a key support to the Town Manager and Cable & Survey Supervisor, including attending Multi-Site Visits, helping resolve operational issues and stepping in wherever your experience is needed.
What you'll get:
- A salary between £36,500 - £38,500 dependent on experience.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days.
- Private medical insurance & life assurance.
- Cycle to Work & Tech purchase schemes.
- Enhanced family leave policies.
- Staff broadband discount (75%).
- High street discounts on 100+ brands.
- Summer & Christmas team socials.
- Career development opportunities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
