An established precision engineering and manufacturing business is looking for a CAD CAM Programmer / Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team.
This is a varied technical position combining CAD/CAM programming, mechanical design and technical review, working across both machined components and sheet metal work.

The Role
- Produce CAD/CAM programs for manufactured components
- Work with hyperMILL CAD/CAM software
- Undertake mechanical design and engineering work
- Review component designs and manufacturing requirements
- Carry out technical reviews of machined components and sheet metal work
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Work closely with machining, production and engineering teams
- Help ensure components are designed and programmed with manufacture in mind
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with a strong engineering/manufacturing background who understands both component design and manufacture.
Previous CAD/CAM programming experience is important, with experience of hyperMILL particularly desirable.
You may currently be working as a CAD CAM Programmer, CNC Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or Production Engineer within a precision engineering environment.

The salary is negotiable depending on experience, with 28 days' holiday and pension.
