Company Description

Egis is a leading global architecture, consulting, construction engineering and operating firm. We work side by side with clients to build a more balanced, sustainable and resilient world.

Egis has acquired Omnia Projects, a UK-based engineering consultancy specialising in electricity Transmission and Distribution (T&D).

Established in 2012, Omnia Projects is a respected specialist in T&D engineering, project management and technical assurance. With over 110 staff the company has delivered critical infrastructure for clients including National Grid, helping to shape the UK’s evolving energy system.

Job Description

Role Description

We require multiple CAD Designer's to work within our engineering consultancy division undertaking Optioneering, Front End Engineer Design (FEED) and Detailed Design on various projects including customer connections, system reinforcement and asset replacement projects.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects that will be across the UK Power Sector, including the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) system, Distribution Networks and Developer led BESS, Solar and Data Centre projects.

Ideal candidates will have experience in the UK Power Sector but this is not essential as you will be supported by our team of industry experts and provided with a library of engineering templates to utilise. We require someone who is proficient in the use of 2D, who can support the Principal Engineers in developing new, and amending existing, drawings to support the project requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
