CAD Designer / CAD Technician

Location: Markham Vale, Chesterfield (Full-Time, Office Based – 5 Days per Week)

Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

About the Role

Are you a graduate looking to kick-start your career, or an experienced CAD Designer or CAD Technician looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting at a range of levels, so whether you're just starting out or already have commercial experience, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for proactive and detail-oriented individuals to join our client's growing team, supporting the design and delivery of bespoke engineering solutions. Whether you've gained your experience through university, an apprenticeship or in industry, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and growing business.

This role is ideal for someone with experience or exposure to 2D/3D CAD, Revit or BIM who enjoys turning customer requirements into practical technical designs while working closely with sales, engineering and customers.

This isn't a purely desk-based CAD role. As well as producing drawings and layouts, you'll collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to develop technical solutions, support quotations and estimates, and play an important role in projects from initial enquiry through to completion. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, is happy to get involved wherever needed and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
