Red Bull Technology Student Placement
Red Bull Technology have exciting opportunities for undergraduate students to spend a year as part of our F1 Technical team. The placements will run from the summer of 2027 for one year and offer the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and apply your knowledge in an open and dynamic environment.
Skills
Based on our Milton Keynes campus, this CAD Electronics student placement opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop skills in problem solving, creativity, teamwork, planning, innovation, and communication whilst performing the following tasks:
- Working on a wide variety of projects within our Electronics Design function and alongside our team of Mechanical and Electronic Engineers.
- Responsible for the specification, routing, packaging, and installation of Electrical systems within technical projects, working closely alongside our Electronics designers.
- Creating loom and sensor drawings, Codes of Practice, Design standards, build documentation, and 3D CAD models.
- Carrying out fault investigation and resolution of allocated issues.
- Working with various disciplines across the design function.

To Be Considered For This Role, You Will Preferably
- Be studying an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics degree.
- Possess an understanding of Electrical and Electronic systems used within the Motorsport, Aerospace, or Automotive industries.
- Have excellent analytical skills within CAD, Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in the use of Computer Aided Design Harness packages and PCB design tools. (Ideally Unigraphics NX12 and Altium) would be advantageous.

The Successful Student
Will be studying towards an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics degree (preferably with an interest in Electronics) and be highly computer literate. You must be returning to university to study for at least 1 year after your placement year.
The Placement
