Role Overview

As a CAD Design Engineer with AVK you will take total responsibility for the implementation of a Successful Project to ensure it is delivered on time, within budget and meets the customer specifications and expectations.

The Design Engineer will need to be customer focused, self-motivated, comfortable in liaising with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors and used to working within tight deadlines, managing numerous projects running concurrently varying in value.

Responsibilities

  • Produce Eplan/AutoCAD drawings for bespoke. Complex electrical control panels, ensuring compliance with technical design.
  • Maintain knowledge of appropriate technical standards, legislation, codes of practice and UK standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of clear reports, technical submissions, designs, and drawings.
  • Produce cable termination sheets from design drawings to ensure clear accurate information is available for our client's projects.
  • Input into the planning of projects to ensure accurate and detailed design, ensuring that designs adhere to precise measurements and tolerances, minimising errors and maximising the quality of the final product.
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to integrate design inputs and feedback effectively.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Design, or relevant field
  • Proven experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit or similar
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties
  • Up to date knowledge on latest industrial control solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
