Role Overview

A CAD Engineer is required to join an established team, to help support current and future railway projects, with key projects including HS2 and Transport for London (TfL), focusing on the design and installation of telecommunications assets within railway stations. This is a Hybrid role and will require flexibility to travel to our Warwick office at least once a month or as the project requires.

What you’ll do

  • Design of telecommunications assets within railway stations, which includes CCTV cameras, Speakers / PA equipment, Wi-Fi equipment, Network nodes, Cable routes and other telecoms infrastructure
  • Amending existing drawings with details of proposed upgrades to existing sites
  • Production of standard and template drawings as part of a library of details/drawings
  • Responsible for producing drawings that are compliant with both client design guidelines and relevant British standards and regulations
  • Potential to attend station sites

Who you are

If you have strong 3D CAD modelling, Bentley MicroStation and some knowledge of BIM then this could be the next role for you. It will give you the opportunity to work on railway telecoms projects, that will prove both challenging and rewarding.

Key Requirements

  • Strong 3D CAD modelling experience is essential.
  • Bentley MicroStation is preferred
  • Have some knowledge/experience of BIM (Building Information Modelling)
  • Attention to detail, clear and accurate drawings
  • Experienced in producing designs that accurately reflect engineering solutions.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software, primarily Outlook, Excel, Word.
