CAD Engineer
Location: Hereford
Salary: up to 40K per annum
About the Role
We are looking for a technically minded individual to join our engineering team, supporting the creation of manufacturing tooling and processes for printed circuit board (PCB) production. You will work with CAD software and ERP systems to prepare production data, support new product introductions (NPI), and provide technical support to both new and existing customers. A background in PCB manufacturing would be advantageous, but candidates with experience interpreting technical drawings and using CAD or manufacturing software are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Process customer data using Genesis LT CAD software
- Generate manufacturing tooling, including:
- Drill programs
- Rout programs
- Direct Imaging files
- AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) files
- Bare Board Test (BBT) files
- Create and maintain process flows within the XA ERP system
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
- Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
About You
- Able to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience using CAD or manufacturing-related software
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
- IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in STEM subjects
- Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
- PCB manufacturing experience would be beneficial but is not essential
