CAD Technician - Tewkesbury - Hybrid

Up to £36,000 (DOE)

What will you be doing

  • Producing CAD drawings & manuals of varying complexity according to the needs to designers, sales & operations
  • Ensuring all drawings and documentation are produced to a high quality standard without errors
  • Managing a number of drawing tasks at any one time and prioritising according to need
  • The production of technical submittal documents for bid responses as required by the design team
  • Responsible for document management within the design team
  • Ensuring all output is produced in line with agreed timescales and delivered to the agreed deadline
  • Adherence to Company’s policies and procedures
  • Carrying out peer review of other CAD engineers work to ensure an error free environment and that quality and consistency is kept high across the team
  • Maintenance of the CAD environment within the relevant office (Physical & Software)

What we are looking for

  • In depth knowledge and at least 3 years’ experience working in a CAD environment in a building layout / construction capacity
  • Maths & English at GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Able to multi task and set clear priorities
  • Good knowledge of Office applications (Google & MS)
  • Able to interpret Customer’s detailed drawings
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with good communication skills
  • Good level of customer service and customer liaison skills

There is also some must haves

  • Must be able to pass BS7858 screening.
  • Clean full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Some government sites will require further screening.
