Are you an experienced Cook/Chef looking to supplement your Income or looking to join a team for regular weekly work.
You could earn £435 for a 3 day weekend camp.
We are currently looking to hire flexible cooks/chefs who can work in a variety of locations across Scotland. Our short-term camp contracts require Cooks/Chefs to have Basic disclosure Scotland. Funding to obtain this will be available to successful candidates.
A camp consists of between 50 to 200 cadets and would be staffed with 1-4 personnel depending on numbers.
A general 3-day camp would consist of travel to camp with stores and a late evening meal on the 1st day, followed by a full-service 2nd day and finally breakfast and lunch on the last day of camp.
There is plenty of work all year round for successful candidates.
Applicants should have good all-round cooking skills, as well as an understanding of all health and safety associated within a kitchen.

What do we offer:
- We are offering a casual contract, working as and when required. You will be working mainly weekends but may need to work during the week for school holiday periods. Shift times will be variable between 6am and 9pm.
- The hourly rate is up to £14.50.
- Multiple roles available.

A day in the life of a Mobile Cook/Chef:
- You will be running standalone camp kitchens, cooking for cadet training camps.
- Stocking up, stock rotation, facing up, spot cleaning, cleaning dining and serving areas, both front and back of house. You will also be loading and unloading deliveries.
- Liaising with members of the cadet training camps and the STC management team.
- Completing all relevant kitchen paperwork.

You will be set up for success if you have:
- Eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years. Security clearance checks are required for this role due to the nature of the sites.
- Relevant culinary qualifications and a passion for food and service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible approach to hours and duties.
- Must have a full driving license with no more than 6 points.
- Basic disclosure Scotland or willing to obtain.
