Contract: Part Time

Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour plus gratuities

15 hours and 24 hours per week.

We're looking for a warm, enthusiastic and customer-focused Café Assistant to join our team. If you enjoy meeting new people, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Café Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the guest experience, welcoming visitors, managing reservations, serving food and drinks, and ensuring every guest receives the high standards of service that Champneys is renowned for. You'll become knowledgeable about our menus and healthy food offerings, confidently helping guests choose dishes that suit their preferences and dietary requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Welcoming guests with a friendly and professional approach
  • Taking reservations and managing table allocation to deliver an outstanding guest experience
  • Serving food and drinks both at tables and over the counter
  • Providing knowledgeable advice on menu choices, ingredients and allergens
  • Building positive relationships with guests and responding to their needs
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the café
  • Monitoring stock levels and helping to maintain availability of products
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
  • Accurately processing payments and posting charges to guest accounts
  • Completing opening and closing duties to prepare the café for service
  • Working closely with colleagues across Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a team-player mentality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An eye for detail and commitment to high standards
  • Confidence working in a busy, guest-facing environment

Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
