You will be joining at an exceptionally exciting time. The Waterfront has quickly become one of the most popular and sought-after visitor destinations locally, attracting high footfall and earning an excellent reputation for its food, drinks, indoor play and outstanding customer experience.

As Café Front of House Supervisor, you will play a pivotal leadership role in the continued success and growth of this thriving venue. Leading by example, you will motivate, coach and support the café team to deliver exceptional service, maintain high operational standards and create a welcoming environment for every visitor. You will be a key presence during busy trading periods, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the café while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.

As Café Front of House Supervisor you will:

  • Be a keen barista and serve high quality beverages
  • Be able to train, coach and motivate a team
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customers queries
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained
  • Manage workflow, bookings and orders during busy service periods
  • Handling cashing up, orders, and payment processing where required
  • Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Ensuring opening/closing procedures are followed correctly
  • Stock management, ordering and rotation
  • Indoor play space supervision and bookings management
  • Assist in the preparation of food as required

Essential Requirements

  • Strong previous barista, customer service and supervisory experience is essential
  • Strong leadership and team support skills
  • Excellent communication & organisational abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times
  • Valid Food Hygiene Certificate or training will be provided
  • Experience in a busy café, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
