Searcys are looking for an experienced Cafe Supervisor to join the team at the IET. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with exceptional customer service skills and a passion for the food and beverage industry. This role involves managing staff, ensuring a high standard of service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and driving sales growth.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology is a multidisciplinary professional engineering institution. The IET was formed in 2006 from two separate institutions: the Institution of Electrical Engineers, dating back to 1871, and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers dating back to 1884.

Job Description
The ideal candidate will possess good food and beverage knowledge in addition to outstanding customer service, and leadership skills.
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours Per Week: 39
Job Details:
- Full time - 20 hours minimum contract
- Shift Timings: Monday to Friday - Usually 8:45AM to 16:45PM
- Salary: £15.50 per hour
About the Cafe Supervisor role:
- To oversee the day-to-day operations by ensuring that our product and the service we provide are always of highest standard
- To supervise, manage and motivate the team
- To support management team in working towards improving sales and service
- Ensuring high levels of Food and Health & Safety are always maintained
