We are seeking passionate individuals to join our esteemed Child Abuse Investigation Team. If you are tenacious, compassionate, and driven with a strong sense of justice, we want to hear from you! Join our Child Abuse Investigation Team and help us create a safer and brighter future for our children.
The role can be based at either Swindon or Melksham and involves shift work of a pattern between 8:00-20:00 plus weekend cover 8:00-18:00 with 1 in 4 weekends.
What you will be doing
- Conduct thorough and sensitive investigations into cases involving inter-familial and position of trust child abuse, where the child is under 18 at the time of reporting.
- Collaborate with partner agencies including social workers, medical staff, and legal professionals, to secure the best outcome for the child.
- Consider and apply Achieving Best Evidence for interviews of victims and witnesses.
- Conduct challenging and considered interviews with suspects.
- Remain current with developments in child protection to ensure the best service is offered.
About you and your experience
- PIP 2 Accredited
- Previous experience of report writing
- Working within an environment of dealing with the public
- Experience in investigating matters and carrying out interviews
- Experience in working within a multi-agency environment with a variety of different agencies

Please note, all roles will be subject to a vetting procedure, some roles due to the nature of their work, will require additional security clearance.
