Calibration Engineer

We are looking for someone to carry out the Calibration of HORIBA instruments and third-party instruments associated with our business / products both in house and at customer premises.

Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.

In addition, provide technical advice and guidance to customers and colleagues ensuring the highest levels of service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out calibration of HORIBA products both in house and on customer sites.
  • Providing support to the Calibration Technical Manager including but not limited to assisting with maintaining the UKAS Accreditation.
  • Responsible for calibration process procedure development and updating of specified documentation and procedures/processes.
  • Ensuring HORIBA UK calibration equipment is fit for purpose and regularly maintained and Calibrated as per requirements.
  • Preparing Calibration Certificates for calibrated equipment.
  • Identifying faults/problems together with proving effective solutions.
  • Maintaining internal and external calibration records

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in calibration
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • A proactive, team-focused approach
  • Mechanical or Electrical technical experience
