Calibration Laboratory Manager EMEA & APAC

DwyerOmega is a global leader in precision sensing, monitoring, and control technologies. Our portfolio spans pressure, temperature, flow, level, humidity, and gas detection solutions serving industrial processing, building services, life sciences, utilities, manufacturing, and energy markets worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced Calibration Laboratory Manager to lead the technical governance, performance and continuous improvement of our calibration laboratory operations across the EMEA & APAC regions.

Reporting to the VP Operations EMEA, this is a senior regional role responsible for strengthening calibration capability, capacity, compliance, customer service and operational performance across the EMEA laboratory network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and govern calibration laboratory activities across the EMEA & APAC regions.
  • Develop and implement common operating standards, KPIs, processes and best practices.
  • Define and deliver the EMEA & APAC calibration strategy, including laboratory footprint, capability and capacity planning.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, accreditation requirements, measurement traceability and technical governance standards.
  • Lead accreditation assessments, surveillance audits, technical reviews and the management of nonconformances and corrective actions.
  • Improve laboratory performance across turnaround time, on-time delivery, productivity, capacity utilisation, first-pass yield and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive Lean, continuous improvement, digitalisation, automation and laboratory management system development.
  • Develop regional equipment, infrastructure, capability and investment plans.
  • Provide technical support for complex customer requirements, tenders, calibration enquiries and service improvements.
  • Lead technical capability, competency, succession planning and collaboration across our global teams.

About You:

  • Significant experience in calibration, metrology, laboratory operations or a closely related technical environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
  • Experience leading or providing technical direction across multiple laboratories, sites or countries.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement traceability, uncertainty calculations, calibration methods and laboratory quality systems.
  • Proven experience improving laboratory operational performance.
  • Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, automation or laboratory management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working across multiple countries, cultures and functions.
  • Able to combine technical credibility with commercial and operational judgement.
  • Willingness to travel across EMEA & APAC as required.
