Job Title: Asset Receipt & Dispatch Coordinator

Location: Portsmouth Naval Base, on site

Salary: Up to £32,400 depending on skills and experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Asset Receipt & Dispatch Coordinator you will support the efficient day-to-day running of a busy Calibration Facility, coordinating the receipt, tracking and dispatch of various types of equipment including Test & Measuring Equipment (T&ME). Working closely with customers, suppliers, calibration engineers and internal stakeholders, you will work with the team to ensure equipment is processed accurately, monitored throughout the calibration cycle and returned safely and on time. You will play a key role in maintaining operational performance, supporting critical customer programmes and delivering a responsive, high-quality service that meets business and customer requirements.

Core Duties

  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, tracking and dispatch of Test & Measuring Equipment (T&ME).
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking records throughout the calibration process.
  • Create and amend Manage purchase requisitions, request and track purchase orders, and ensure timely processing of invoices.
  • Support urgent equipment turnaround requirements and priority requests.
  • Build effective relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working within a logistics, operations, coordination or asset management environment.
  • Experience using inventory management systems and SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

The Team

You will be part of a niche team specialising in the calibration of various vital items of equipment submitted internally from the business and from operational platforms; ensuring that our fleet is operationally ready and fit to fight. The Receipt & Dispatch team undertake an extremely important role working with the technical team to maintain an output comprising of certified equipment with the right documentation to satisfy our customer’s requirement.
