What if your telephone skills are what we need to make new medicines safer for patients?

Fortrea's cutting-edge Clinical Research Unit in Leeds is the crown jewel of our global operations. Dedicated to Phase I clinical trials, this 65,000 ft² facility is where life-saving medicines begin their journey.

You’ll be part of a team that asks one crucial question: will this new medicine be safe? Every day, you'll witness groundbreaking research in action. And when a medicine you've worked on is approved, you'll know you've helped change lives across the globe.

We are growing our Call Centre team and now seeking our next Clinical Recruiter.

This is a full-time, permanent job: You will work a 37-hour week, typically from 8am to 4pm, or 9am to 5pm on a rotation basis. Some flexibility to work extended hours on two days per week until 8pm, may be required.

On a normal day, you will…

  • Build and maintain Fortrea's Study Participant database for clinical trials. You see how important this is for us: we need the right person, on the right study within the right timeframe - so ability to work towards deadlines whilst balancing quality of work is a must.
  • What you will not do: Cold calling. You don't have to go out there to find participants: Fortrea has been conducting clinical research studies for more than 30 years, so we have our own pool of interested individuals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
