Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £39,959 – £48,117 per annum

This is a busy multi-disciplinary CAMHS team which includes nurses, psychologists, social workers and psychiatrists. The role will be within Oldham CAMHS initial assessment team, assessing and formulating treatment plans for young people. This will involve both urgent and routine mental health assessments alongside neurodevelopmental assessments.

Main Duties

  • Work autonomously within the context of a multi-disciplinary team approach
  • Undertake specific work with young people and their families
  • Excellent assessment skills and ability to formulate clinical decisions and management plans
  • Assessment and management of risk
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment offered to service users
  • Use routine outcome measures related to service development and reporting

Essential Criteria

  • Nursing or social work or equivalent Health/Social care qualification
  • Professional Registration (NMC/HCPC/SW)
  • Significant post qualification experience in community mental health services to post graduate diploma level
  • Professional involvement with the users of mental health services
  • Experience of case management of young people
  • Experience of multi-agency working
  • Ability to undertake appropriate mental health assessments
  • Ability to carry out therapeutic interventions with this client group
  • Knowledge of mental health issues in young people
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and National policies in relation to young people
