An exciting opportunity has arisen within Fife CAMHS for an experienced Mental Health Clinician to take on the role of CAMHS Psychological Therapist.
This post is required to provide Maternity cover within the West CAMHS Core service based within Carnegie Unit, Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. The post holder will join a thriving CAMHS service and will be part of the Fife CAMHS Core services alongside colleagues from Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Art Therapy, Systemic Psychotherapy and Speech & Language Therapy.
The post holder will be an experienced CAMHS clinician (MH Nurse/CAAP/AHP) who can provide specialist psychological therapies to children and young people requiring intervention from Fife CAMHS due to severe, complex and enduring mental health disorders.
- You will be required to work both autonomously and as part of well established CAMHS teams.
- Expert clinical assessment, formulation and therapeutic delivery skills along with the ability to work with colleagues from across agencies will be key along with knowledge of child health and wider support systems.
Applications are invited from child trained Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology (CAAP), First Level Registered Mental Health Nurses or Allied Health Professionals. Current registration with NMC/Relevant Professional Governing Bodies is essential alongside a Post Graduate Certificate / Diploma level Qualification in an evidence based psychological therapy as recognised in the National Psychological Therapies Matrix. The ability to demonstrate a level of skills and competencies associated with significant post registration experience working therapeutically with children who have severe and complex mental health problems is required.

As a Fife-wide service the post holder will be able to travel extensively across the area.
- This is a 36 hour - Full-time, Maternity Cover post (1 year/until April 2027)
