Aircraft Type: AW139, AW169, EC175B
The CAMO Type Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuing airworthiness of the AW139, AW169, and EC175B fleets in compliance with UK CAA Part CAMO requirements.
The role ensures that all aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition and operated in accordance with approved maintenance programmes and regulatory requirements under the UK aviation regulatory framework.
The role includes participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, providing technical support to operational teams and responding to AOG situations to minimise disruption to operations and ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of technical issues. There will be travel to other bases.
In addition, the CAMO Type Engineer will represent the organisation at Type Certificate Holder (TCH) meetings and technical conferences, engaging with manufacturers and industry stakeholders to stay aligned with product developments, share operational feedback, and influence continued improvements.
Responsibilities And Main Results Areas
- Manage continuing airworthiness activities for AW139, AW169, and EC175B aircraft in cooperation with the other CAMO Type Engineers.
- Develop, review, and amend Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMP).
- Ensure compliance with UK CAA Part CAMO regulations.
- Review and action of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and other mandatory/recommended requirements.
- Control and monitor aircraft technical status and liaise with maintenance planning teams.
- Liaise with Part 145 organisations to ensure timely and compliant maintenance execution.
- Analyse technical reliability data and implement corrective actions.
- Support audits (internal and external) and regulatory inspections.
- Provide technical support to operations and engineering teams.
- Maintain aircraft records and ensure accuracy of continuing airworthiness documentation.
- Be available through an on-call roster for AOG Aircraft technical support.
- Act as Liaison between Part-145 teams and the OEM/TCH for Technical issues.
- Responsible for complying with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures, and controls and supporting information security objectives.

Experience
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a CAMO or aviation engineering environment.
- Experience working with AW139, AW169, and/or EC175B aircraft preferred.
- Strong knowledge of helicopter maintenance and airworthiness requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of UK CAA regulatory structure and post-Brexit requirements.
- Experience interfacing with TCH/OEM technical teams and aviation authorities.
- Familiarity with ARC processes and airworthiness review standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAMO IT systems and Microsoft Office/SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of UK CAA Part CAMO and Part 145 requirements.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills in a time-critical operational environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in technical records.
- Good analysis skills and the ability to query OEMs where applicable.
- Strong problem-solving capability, particularly for AOG and operational disruptions.
- Effective communication with operations, maintenance teams, OEMs, and regulators.
- Strong innovative skills to implement improvements.
- The ability to work across the NHV Group to share best practices and implement where applicable good ideas from across the NHV Group.
