Are you looking to build your career in media, communications and campaigning? Would you enjoy supporting campaigns, media activity and supporter engagement in a fast-paced environment?

BPAS is looking for a Media and Campaigns Assistant to provide dedicated support across media relations, campaign delivery, supporter engagement and fundraising administration.

Working closely with the Media and Campaigns Manager, Head of Campaigns and Communications and wider Strategic Communications directorate, you will provide operational and administrative support across multiple areas of work.

The role

This is an opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience across communications, media, campaigning and fundraising. You will support the day-to-day operation of the press office, maintain media contacts and supporter databases, and monitor media and campaign activity to produce reports and insights.

You will also support the delivery of email campaigns through Mailchimp, including scheduling, audience segmentation, A/B testing and performance analysis. Alongside this, you will assist with campaign activity, events and supporter engagement, as well as providing administrative support for fundraising initiatives and responding to donor enquiries.

This is a permanent, full time position working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday. A hybrid role where you will work 1 day a week from our London office and the remaining from home.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the press office and monitoring of media activity
  • Maintain media contacts, supporter records and campaign databases
  • Build, schedule and analyse email campaigns through Mailchimp
  • Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of campaign activity and supporter engagement
  • Work across Communications, Campaigns, Advocacy and Fundraising to support integrated delivery
  • Monitor campaign and fundraising performance and produce reports and insights
  • Respond to donor enquiries and support effective supporter care and stewardship
  • Provide administrative support for fundraising initiatives and wider team activity

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in communications, campaigning, media, fundraising or supporter engagement, alongside experience providing administrative support within a professional environment. You will be confident using digital communications tools, databases and email platforms, with good IT skills including Microsoft Office.

You'll have strong writing and communication skills, excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be able to manage multiple priorities, analyse information and produce clear reports and summaries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
