About the Company

Our client is an established independent charity working to improve standards and accountability across the investment and financial system, with a strong focus on environmental and social outcomes.

About the Role

The Campaign Manager will develop and deliver campaigns designed to accelerate the transition to a cleaner, fairer energy system by influencing investors, companies and policymakers. The initial focus will be industrial decarbonisation, including engaging major companies in high-emitting sectors and encouraging stronger standards, reduced reliance on fossil fuels and greater investor support for a just transition. Reporting to a Senior Campaign Manager, the role will combine campaign strategy, stakeholder engagement, research, communications and project coordination. It offers the opportunity to shape high-profile environmental campaigns and contribute to the wider development of our client’s energy transition work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead campaign strategies that support the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy system.
  • Design and deliver campaigns targeting investors, companies, policymakers and other decision-makers.
  • Lead elements of work focused initially on industrial decarbonisation and the reduction of fossil fuel use in high-emitting sectors.
  • Engage investors and encourage them to support stronger corporate practices and an enabling policy environment for a just transition.
  • Build constructive relationships with companies, investors, policymakers, standard setters and other external stakeholders.
  • Develop creative campaign tactics and identify new opportunities to increase impact.
  • Coordinate campaign activity across multiple workstreams and internal teams.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform campaign strategy, messaging and engagement.
  • Translate technical and policy issues into clear and persuasive communications for different audiences.
  • Monitor political, regulatory, commercial and industry developments relevant to climate and environmental campaigning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across different programmes to ensure alignment and shared learning.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the wider energy transition programme and its campaign strategy.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation and learning to improve future campaign effectiveness.
  • Contribute to funding proposals and funder reporting where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
