Role: Campaign Marketing Manager (12 Month FTC)
Location: London, United Kingdom (3 days a week from Client Canary Wharf offices)
About the role:
As a Campaign Marketing Manager, you'll be embedded within the client's UK Retail Banking Performance Marketing team — a commercially driven function responsible for customer engagement, solutions growth, and digital channel development. This is a delivery-focused role for someone who can manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, operate effectively across complex stakeholder environments, and maintain consistently high standards under pressure. You'll combine strong digital marketing expertise with a customer-first mindset, bringing clear thinking and sound judgement to everything from insight and strategy through to in-channel execution, governance, and performance reporting. The role suits someone with client-side performance marketing experience in financial services, telecoms, utilities, or another comparably regulated industry.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the end-to-end campaign delivery lifecycle — from discovery, planning, and prioritisation through to channel execution, quality assurance, and performance reporting — across paid and owned channels including video, display, social, email, radio, press, and OOH.
- Develop and execute multi-variant campaign strategies that differentiate the client from competitors through superior targeting, creative quality, and channel innovation.
- Work with the client's Marketing Centre of Excellence to ensure all communications are on-brand, product-aligned, customer-focused, and compliant with regulatory requirements and governance frameworks.
- Analyse customer, market, and performance data to surface actionable insights, translating these into effective marketing strategies and measurable campaign outcomes.
- Manage campaign budgets with a clear focus on return on investment, cost per acquisition, and commercial performance.
- Develop clear campaign roadmaps and testing frameworks in collaboration with business stakeholders, keeping projects on time and adapting effectively when priorities shift.
- Manage relationships with the client's Digital, Product, and Marketing teams, as well as external agency partners — maintaining regular stakeholder dialogue and delivering clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality assurance across all campaign materials, applying rigorous controls throughout the delivery process.
- Take ownership of risk management and governance in relation to your work, escalating issues promptly and maintaining thorough documentation.
- Report on campaign performance and testing outcomes, providing recommendations that drive continuous improvement.
- Bring proactive ideas and solutions to stakeholders, identifying opportunities to improve performance.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-standards culture within the Performance Marketing team.
- Manage project and campaign-level budgets, including cost estimation, spend tracking, and reconciliation.
- Optimise budget allocation across channels to maximise commercial impact.
- Report on spend against forecast and surface budget risks early to relevant stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Experience surfacing meaningful customer, market, and performance insights and translating them into effective campaign strategies with measurable commercial outcomes.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across complex, matrixed organisations.
- Client-side experience across paid and owned performance marketing channels, ideally within financial services, telecoms, utilities, or a comparable regulated industry.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance across all campaign outputs and communications.
- A collaborative, outcomes-focused working style — equally comfortable leading your own workstreams and contributing to wider team priorities.
- Experience managing campaign-level budgets and optimising spend to drive commercial performance.
- Alignment with the client's core values: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship.
- Experience managing campaign or project-level marketing budgets, including cost estimation, spend tracking, and financial reconciliation.
- Confidence working within the governance and approval frameworks typical of regulated financial environments.
- Proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to marketing — including tools for brief development, content creation, data analysis, or campaign planning — to enhance the quality and efficiency of your work.
- Experience building AI-assisted workflows to support personal productivity and output quality.
- Agentic approach to campaign management: able to break complex, multi-step projects into structured plans and execute with clarity and minimal direction.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs and apply sound human judgement before using them in client-facing or regulated contexts.
