Campaigns and Mobilisation Manager
Permanent, full time (35 hours a week)
Location: Here East. The post-holder may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends, as well as travel and stay away from home occasionally.

The Role
Working as part of the Policy, Research and Influencing department, you will lead Scope’s approach to campaigning and mobilisation. You’ll develop and deliver long-term campaign strategies, build support for our campaigns and work with colleagues and external partners to maximise our reach, influence and impact. You’ll also lead and develop a high-performing team and help strengthen campaigning capability across the organisation.
You will:
- Lead and develop Scope’s campaigning and mobilisation strategy, ensuring our work is ambitious, evidence-led and focused on creating change for disabled people.
- Manage and develop a high-performing Campaigns and Mobilisation team, creating a supportive, inclusive and ambitious team culture.
- Work with colleagues across Scope to develop and deliver campaigns that support our strategic priorities and objectives.
- Ensure campaigns have clear objectives, measurable outcomes and effective evaluation to maximise impact and learning.
- Build strong relationships across Scope to increase engagement with and support for campaigning activity.
- Develop partnerships and networks that increase the reach and impact of Scope’s campaigns.
- Identify new opportunities, trends and approaches that strengthen Scope’s campaigning and mobilisation work.
- Represent Scope externally with partners, coalitions, stakeholders and the media where appropriate.

About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating change and bringing people together behind a shared cause. You’ll be a confident leader who enjoys developing others, building relationships and turning ideas into impactful campaigns.
You’ll bring experience of developing successful campaigning strategies and working with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver meaningful change. You’ll be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll be someone who:
- Has experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Has a track record of developing and delivering successful campaigns that have influenced social, political, policy or behavioural change.
- Can develop campaign strategies, objectives and measures of success.
- Builds effective relationships across teams, organisations and external networks.
- Uses evidence, insight and evaluation to improve campaign performance and impact.
- Has excellent communication skills and can engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
- Is adaptable, innovative and able to respond confidently to changing circumstances.
It would be great if you also bring:
- An understanding of the disability sector and the issues affecting disabled people.
- Experience working alongside people with lived experience to shape campaigns.
- Strong political awareness and understanding of the environment in which charities campaign and influence change.
- Experience acting as a spokesperson with the media or external stakeholders.
