The Role
The justice system is a public service, as vital to our communities as education and healthcare. But years of underinvestment by the government have left many of us facing an uphill struggle to access legal advice when we need it.
We are stepping up our efforts to secure funding for legal aid for families, and reforms to the justice system that could level the playing field for millions of people and families in England and Wales. As Campaign Lead, you will be at the heart of this work, driving forward our Legal Aid Means campaign and be at the forefront of developing new policy ideas for a justice system that serves us all, as part of a new influencing and thought leadership campaign building on the successful 21st Century Justice project.
You'll set the strategic direction, build and grow coalitions of supportive organisations, and turn new bold ideas into campaigns that get decision-makers to listen and act. You'll bring political nous, collaborative leadership, sharp campaign management skills and an ability to engage people at every level.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
