About Everesteer

Everesteer is an agent-native hedge fund platform. Researchers build models on our data, submit forecasts, and are rewarded on live out-of-sample performance. The platform is currently in private beta.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a small cohort of Campus Ambassadors at leading UK universities to represent Everesteer on the ground for the 2026/27 academic year, with early start dates in August 2026 available.

Ambassadors are the primary link between Everesteer and the quantitative talent on their campus. You will build relationships with the societies that matter — quantitative finance, mathematics, computing, machine learning, and data science societies — run activity that reaches the strongest students, and bring serious researchers onto the platform. This is a genuinely entrepreneurial brief: we provide the brand assets, the playbook, and direct access to the Everesteer team, and you decide how best to reach the right people at your institution.

The role is part-time and flexible, designed to fit around a full academic workload — approximately four to six hours per week, concentrated around tournament and recruitment cycles.

Target Universities

We are prioritising applications from students at universities with strong quantitative cohorts: Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College London, LSE, UCL, Warwick, Edinburgh, Bristol, Durham, St Andrews, and Manchester. Strong candidates from other institutions with a compelling case for their campus are welcome to apply.

What You Will Do

Campus Partnerships

  • Build and maintain working relationships with relevant student societies, course representatives, and careers services
  • Establish Everesteer as a recognised name within your campus's quantitative and machine learning communities

Events and Activations

  • Plan and deliver campus activity: information sessions, joint society events, workshops, and pre-tournament briefings
  • Represent Everesteer at career fairs and society events where relevant

Researcher Recruitment

  • Act as the first point of contact for interested students and answer questions about the platform with credibility
  • Guide strong candidates from initial interest through registration and first submission
  • Distribute Everesteer materials across society channels, mailing lists, and campus networks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Ownership

  • Identify new routes to the right students on your campus and act on them without waiting to be asked
  • Report weekly on pipeline, activity, and results, and feed campus intelligence back to the Everesteer team

What Success Looks Like

  • Everesteer is known and understood among the quantitative cohort on your campus
  • Standing relationships with at least two relevant societies
  • A steady flow of registrations that convert into researchers who actually submit
  • Well-attended events that reach the right students, not the largest crowd
  • Consistent activity across the full term, not a burst at the start

What We Are Looking For

  • Current undergraduate or postgraduate student at a UK university, in your second year or later, with at least one full academic year remaining
  • Background or demonstrated interest in quantitative finance, machine learning, mathematics, physics, or computer science; hands-on experience building models or agents is a strong advantage
  • Enough technical fluency to explain the platform convincingly to an audience of strong students
  • Existing standing within campus networks — society committee membership, course representation, or a comparable position of influence is a strong advantage
  • Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to a room and approaching societies and staff cold
  • Active on LinkedIn and other channels your peers actually use
  • Self-directed and reliable: this role is measured on outcomes, not hours logged
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Compensation

Structured, activity-based compensation. Most ambassadors should expect £250–£400 per month, with total payment possible of £500 per month.

  • Base retainer: £100 per month, conditional on meeting a minimum activity baseline — one campus activation per month and a completed weekly report
  • £5 per verified sign-up from your university (verified = registration with an institutional email address and at least one scored & staked submission on the platform)
  • £25 per active researcher — a sign-up from your university who submits for over 1 consecutive month
  • £100 per delivered campus event with 25 or more attendees, subject to prior approval. Separate budget provided for such events.
  • £500 end-of-term performance bonus for ambassadors placing in the top quartile of the cohort

All performance components are tracked through a personal referral code and reconciled monthly. Payments are made in GBP within 15 working days of month end. Ambassadors are engaged on a freelance basis and are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.

Beyond the Compensation

  • Platform access during the private beta, ahead of general availability
  • Direct exposure to the systematic investment and quantitative research industry
  • Written reference from the Everesteer team on successful completion, and a formal certificate of appointment
  • First consideration for Everesteer internships, projects, and paid roles
  • Everesteer merchandise and brand kit

Term and Progression

Appointment runs for the autumn 2026 and spring 2027 terms, with a review at the end of the first term. Strong performers may progress to Regional Lead Ambassador, coordinating a group of campuses with an expanded remit and compensation ceiling.

Application

Submit a CV, a LinkedIn profile, and a short statement (maximum one page) covering: your university and course, the campus networks and positions you currently hold, and specifically how you would reach the strongest quantitative and machine learning students at your institution.

Optionally include a GitHub, Kaggle, or equivalent profile.

Send applications to workhard@everesteer.ai with the subject line Campus Ambassador — [Your University]

Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a fifteen-minute screening call, followed by a conversation with our team. Target start date: As Soon as Possible.

Everesteer is an equal-opportunity employer. All applications are treated in confidence.
