Are you an organised, practical, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for science and supporting student learning? OneSchool Global UK Biggleswade Campus is seeking a Campus Laboratory Technician to play a key role in preparing and maintaining our science laboratories, helping to create an engaging and safe learning environment for our students.

The Role

As Campus Laboratory Technician, you will support the delivery of high-quality Science education by ensuring laboratory resources, equipment, and materials are prepared and maintained to the highest standards. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help facilitate practical lessons while promoting a safe and effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for practical Science lessons.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it remains in good working order.
  • Managing and monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies when required.
  • Ensuring the safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical activities where appropriate.
  • Maintaining accurate records relating to equipment, chemicals, and health and safety requirements.
  • Ensuring laboratories and preparation areas remain organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting with risk assessments and supporting safe laboratory practices.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in a laboratory, educational setting, or similar environment.
  • Has a good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Is confident managing equipment, resources, and stock control.
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can work independently and proactively.
  • Is committed to supporting young people and contributing positively to the school community.

A science-related qualification or previous experience in a school laboratory environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
