OneSchool Global UK Kenley Campus is looking for a dedicated Premises Manager to take ownership of the campus facilities, health and safety compliance, maintenance programmes and site security. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong practical skills, a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining exceptional standards. This is a full time permanent role, Monday-Friday 37.5 hours.
About the Role
As Premises Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our campus remains a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the school buildings and grounds, managing maintenance activities, statutory compliance requirements, contractor relationships and health and safety obligations.
Working closely with the Campus Principal, you will take responsibility for maintaining compliance records, coordinating inspections, overseeing contractors, and ensuring the campus operates efficiently and effectively at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the security, maintenance and presentation of the campus buildings and grounds.
- Oversee all health and safety compliance, inspections, audits and statutory testing requirements.
- Manage contractors onsite, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records through Donesafe, including risk assessments, inspections and compliance checks.
- Coordinate fire safety procedures, fire drills, alarm testing and emergency planning.
- Carry out minor repairs and arrange specialist maintenance where required.
- Monitor heating, water and building systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Manage cleaning standards and janitorial supplies within budget.
- Ensure compliance with COSHH, legionella management, PAT testing, Gas Safe inspections, LOLER inspections (where applicable) and other regulatory requirements.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies including fire, flood, break-ins or site incidents.

About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, practical and able to work independently while maintaining excellent standards across the campus.
Essential:
- Experience in caretaking, facilities management, premises or maintenance roles.
- Strong DIY and practical maintenance skills.
- IOSH qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- A proactive, reliable and professional approach.
Desirable:
- Trade qualification or relevant maintenance background.
- NEBOSH qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
- COSHH and Health & Safety training.
- Experience working within an educational environment.
