About The Team Or Project
Manchester Met University Security service is an exceptional service carried out with pride and professionalism. This is provided by 4 teams covering the security role 24/7. Each team has a supervisor and a duty manager reporting into the CSOM who then reports up to the HoS. The security team provide first response to all security incidents that occur across the MMU footprint including and not restricted to; First aid requests, Building lockdown and unlocking, Supporting events, report writing, investigating, welfare support among many others.
About The Role
Although the post is security related, we are not necessarily seeking individuals with experience in the sector, our preference being to employ someone with the right customer ethos and experience of working within teams delivering first class customer care.
One of the most important roles this post incorporates is that of first response to emergencies, safety and welfare related incidents and as such, we are looking for an individual who is calm under pressure, caring and compassionate.

Reporting to the Campus Security Supervisor at the start of each shift, you will be given a brief on the expectations for the tasks for the shift and zone, deployed to your allocated zone to be able to respond to any security related task using your own initiative and skills to ensure the best service is provided to all stakeholders.
