Job Title: Campus (Tech) Recruiter

Location: London (Onsite)
Compensation: ~£130,000 + bonus

Hawkwood are partnering with one of the world’s most successful hedge funds to hire a Campus (Tech) Recruiter. This is a high-impact role focused on identifying, engaging, and building relationships with some of the best emerging technical talent across Europe.

You will sit at the intersection of academia and industry, developing partnerships with leading universities, student societies, and academic communities across institutions such as Oxbridge, ETH Zurich, École Polytechnique, ENS, HEC, and CentraleSupélec.

The mandate is simple but demanding: ensure the firm consistently identifies and engages exceptional emerging talent across Software Engineering and other technical disciplines.

This is not a traditional campus recruitment role. You will be responsible for designing and delivering high-impact programmes and events, proactively mapping exceptional technical talent, building university partnerships, and using data to understand which activities are generating the strongest talent pipelines.

You will also have the opportunity to attend and deliver events across some of the leading universities, conferences, and academic communities in Europe.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and deliver high-impact campus programmes and events, including Spring Weeks, STEM programmes, hackathons, technical competitions, and university roadshows
  • Build long-term relationships with leading universities, student societies, faculty, and other academic communities across the UK and Europe
  • Proactively map and engage high-potential technical students early in their academic journeys, building relationships well before they enter formal recruitment processes
  • Partner with senior engineers and internal subject-matter experts to create compelling technical content, workshops, coding challenges, and other candidate experiences
  • Identify and engage internal speakers, mentors, and technical leaders to represent the firm at campus events and programmes
  • Track engagement, pipeline, and conversion data to understand what is working and continuously improve the firm's campus strategy
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of campus activities, working with internal teams and external partners to ensure programmes are executed to an exceptionally high standard
  • Represent the firm externally at universities, conferences, and other key academic engagements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
