About the Role
Position Overview
Canberra Health Services Dental (CHS Dental) within the Division of Community Health and Integrate Care (CHIC) provides adult, child, and youth general dental, restorative, Additional needs, General Anaesthetic (GA), Relative Analgesia (RA), and specialist Surgical and Orthodontic services to the eligible members of the ACT community. The service currently operates from five Community Health Centres and three hospitals across the ACT region, as well as operating within ACT corrective services and from mobile dental clinics as below:

CHS Dental is a multidisciplinary program and consists of dentists, visiting oral surgeons, oral health therapists, dental therapists, prosthetists, visiting orthodontist, dental assistants, laboratory technicians, and administrative staff. CHS Dental offers a range of dental services to the eligible members of the community for adult & child and youth dental services, this includes denture services and emergency dental.
The services are available Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the above listed facilities and Community Health Centre’s.
Part time positions with a minimum roster of 3 business days per week are available.

Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to:

- Hold Dentist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Meet credentialing requirements and receive an Endorsed scope of clinical practice from the Medical Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC)
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
