What You'll Do
As the Capability PMO Programme Lead, your mission will be to set the gold standard for project management practices. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be accountable for:
- Define Excellence: Set clear expectations for planning, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), reporting, financial control, and benefits tracking.
- Empower Teams: Equip delivery teams with the necessary tools, templates, and frameworks to thrive.
- Drive Consistency: Ensure quality and transparency across all capability outputs, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Standards & Tools: Define and embed PMO standards, creating practical tools and guidance for delivery teams.
- Capability Building: Coach and upskill team members to embrace PMO best practices while ensuring they own their controls.
- Governance & Assurance: Establish robust governance frameworks, providing independent assurance and constructive challenge to teams.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor project plans and financial controls, ensuring quality and prompt intervention when standards are not met.
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent, high-quality outputs across all products, aligned with defined standards.
- Delivery teams producing robust plans independently, reducing reliance on PMO intervention.
- Clear, insight-driven reporting that supports decision-making and highlights systemic risks.
