Clearance: Valid SC Clearance – Essential
You’ll be joining a large and complex public-sector technology environment where you’ll play a key role in ensuring IT services have the capacity to meet both current and future demand.
This is an urgent requirement, with CVs being reviewed quickly and the successful candidate expected to move through the process at pace. You must already hold valid SC Clearance, there is no time available to wait for a new clearance application to be processed.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitor service, infrastructure and application capacity and identify emerging trends.
- Identify capacity constraints and risks before they impact service performance or availability.
- Coordinate capacity planning across multiple technical teams.
- Assess the impact of major incidents on capacity, performance and service resilience.
- Support recovery planning where capacity or performance has been affected.
- Provide demand forecasting and growth planning to ensure services can support future requirements.
- Escalate capacity-related risks to operational and senior leadership teams.
- Maintain capacity reports, dashboards and improvement plans.

- Capacity Risk Assessments
- Capacity Forecasts
- Performance & Utilisation Reports
- Capacity Improvement Plans
What you’ll bring
- Experience working within Capacity Management, IT Service Management, Infrastructure, Service Management or a closely related environment.
- Comfort in analysing capacity and performance trends, identifying potential risks and working with technical teams to ensure issues are addressed before they affect critical services.
- Confidence in working in a complex organisation, communicating capacity risks clearly and supporting both operational and forward-planning activities.
