Job Description
A highly regarded credit fund with a strong investment team, excellent performance record, and meaningful AUM growth over recent years is looking to hire a senior capital formation professional to lead its global fundraising effort. This is a significant hire for the firm, and the successful candidate will take direct ownership of the capital raising function, working closely with senior leadership to drive the next phase of the firm's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's capital formation effort globally, developing and executing fundraising strategy across a broad range of institutional investor types and geographies including the US, EMEA, and APAC
- Proactively build new investor relationships across pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, family offices, fund of funds, and consultants, with a clear focus on converting prospects into long-term allocators
- Manage and deepen existing LP relationships, ensuring a high standard of ongoing engagement and positioning the firm well for future capital commitments
- Work directly alongside senior management and the investment team to develop compelling fundraising strategies and ensure the firm's narrative is clearly and credibly articulated to prospective investors
- Oversee the production of investor marketing materials, proposals, and fundraising campaigns, maintaining consistency and quality across all investor-facing content

The Ideal Candidate

- A proven capital raiser with a demonstrable track record of raising significant capital for credit (public or private credit) or hedge fund strategies, and meaningfully contributing to the scaling of a business/fund AUM
- Deep and active relationships across the institutional investor landscape, with a history of converting and maintaining allocations from sophisticated global LPs
- Credible and polished in front of institutional allocators, with the ability to hold substantive conversations about investment strategy and portfolio construction without needing to escalate
- Highly organised and commercially minded, with the presence and drive to lead a capital formation function and take genuine ownership of outcomes
