Eames are working with a leading global specialty insurance platform on a hire within a growing Capital Management team in London.
The team sits centrally across a multi-billion-dollar underwriting platform, working with internal underwriting businesses across a broad range of classes to develop capacity strategies, manage carrier relationships and support new product growth.
About the Role
The role will involve leading renewal and placement workstreams from strategy through to execution, working closely with underwriting leaders to understand their capacity requirements and developing recommendations on how best to take those opportunities to market.

You will also be responsible for managing relationships with carriers, reinsurers and fronting partners, supporting negotiations and helping secure capacity for both existing portfolios and new products.
Alongside the placement side, the role will involve analysing portfolio performance, developing market strategies, supporting business planning and preparing recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Requirements
For this hire they are particularly interested in individuals coming from an underwriting or broking background with experience across MGA/programme business, portfolio solutions, delegated authority or facilities.

The role would suit someone who understands how programme business is structured and managed and is looking to move into a broader position across capacity, carrier relationships and portfolio strategy.
There is significant exposure to senior underwriting leadership across the UK and US and the opportunity to work across multiple classes rather than a single underwriting portfolio.
