The Project Analyst-Upstream (Oil & Gas) Role
IPA Project Analysts meet with clients in person to collect project data and discover areas of risk. After analysing those data using our proprietary models, the Project Analyst delivers the results in reports and presentations to provide insights and recommendations. As Project Analysts advance within IPA, the role expands to client engagement leadership, system diagnosis and consulting, training and workshop facilitation, and project data analysis and research.
The Upstream Project Analyst role focuses on assessing projects and projects systems in the oil & gas industrial sector to improve the effectiveness of their capital projects. The Project Analyst will lead evaluations, with the potential to become a trusted advisor for some of the largest and most influential oil & gas companies in the world.

Core Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships at senior levels with client companies
- Ability to thrive in a diverse environment, bridge cultural gaps, and build strong relationships across all backgrounds
Education and Experience
- An advanced degree or equivalent in geology, geophysics, or petroleum engineering
- 2+ years of professional oil & gas industry experience (finance and IT analysts need not apply)
Location and Travel

- Candidates must be willing to relocate within commuting distance of IPA’s Reading, UK office
- This position is work from office with up to 30 percent travel, including international travel
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (may consider visa sponsorship for eligible candidates)
