Capital Regulatory Reporting Analyst

Salary: £65000 - £75000
Location: London

A leading financial institution in London is seeking a Capital Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join their Finance Team. This role offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in calculating and analysing own funds and risk-weighted assets, as well as preparing, reviewing, and submitting regulatory returns, with a particular focus on quarterly COREP submissions covering capital adequacy, leverage, and large exposures.

What you'll do:

  • Calculate and analyse own funds and risk-weighted assets on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate production of management information for presentation to senior stakeholders such as the Group Finance Director and Capital Adequacy Committee.
  • Produce and thoroughly analyse quarterly regulatory returns including COREP submissions for capital adequacy, leverage, and large exposures to meet compliance requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving reporting requirements, regulatory changes, and industry developments to ensure all processes remain compliant.
  • Support the regulatory change process by actively participating in projects and providing input into requirement definition documents, including IRB implementation when necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and Investor Relations teams to ensure queries are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Liaise closely with the Bank Financial Control team to communicate reporting requirements clearly and provide sufficient notice regarding new or changing regulations.
  • Respond effectively to ad-hoc questions and data requests from both internal colleagues and external stakeholders with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas for enhancement within regulatory reporting procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining robust internal controls by recognising control weaknesses and proposing practical changes to strengthen processes.
  • Collaborate within the Regulatory Reporting team to share knowledge, support colleagues, and foster a dependable work environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
