Join us as a Capital & Risk Distribution Manager

This is an opportunity for a driven Capital Risk Distribution Manager to take on an exciting new career challenge.

What you'll do

You’ll contribute to the design and development of risk mitigation strategies and execution for franchise portfolios and support transactional activity including the risk mitigation of exposures, structured trades, and support the ongoing management of post deal operations.

You’ll also:

  • Oversee all aspects of deal execution, including origination, documentation, marketing materials, execution and transaction management
  • Demonstrate a strong collaborative culture by partnering and working in conjunction with internal and external partners, including Coverage & Portfolio Management, Credit, Legal, Finance, Treasury, bank and non-bank investors
  • Oversee all aspects of credit risk mitigation deal activity, including origination, documentation, marketing materials, structuring and execution
  • Enhance capability for the franchise to execute sustainably on risk mitigation activity across single names and portfolios
  • Support in enhancing capital velocity by executing risk mitigation strategies to create headroom against risk appetite limits, optimise RWAs and improve returns on capital

The skills you'll need

You'll need a good understanding of the commercial banking sector, and knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations, and risk management. You'll have knowledge of capital management and portfolio tools and techniques alongside the ability to apply a continuous improvement philosophy across multiple domains.

In addition, you'll have a high degree of numeracy and will be detail orientated.

You’ll also need:

  • To demonstrate a forward planning proactive approach to transaction management
  • Competent modelling skills
  • The ability to multitask across several key deliverables
  • The ability to deliver well substantiated analysis, solutions and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Proven track record taking ownership and managing deliverables end to end
  • Previous experience with a variety of Credit Risk Mitigation solutions including SRTs, CRTs, credit risk insurance, portfolio sales or purchases, single name sales, sub-participations or CDS
