Car Park Assistant

We're looking for a Car Park Assistant to join us at Erddig. This role is all about giving everyone a warm and well-informed welcome as they arrive in a busy National Trust car park. The Car Park Assistant is there to make sure that people who might never have visited before can understand the layout of the place, and all that it has to offer them. From that first moment of a friendly greeting to the helpful sharing of practical information, you’ll be helping to give everyone an enjoyable and memorable day out.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Contract Duration: Fixed term until 30th April 2027

Working Pattern: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. You’ll typically work 3-hour shifts, anytime between 10am and 2pm. You’ll need to be available to work weekends and during school holidays.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a CV or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
