Senior Carbon & Net Zero Consultant

A Senior Consultant with strong experience in carbon accounting, target-setting, and climate risk, who can partner with clients to develop practical, commercially smart pathways to net zero emissions.

The Role & Responsibilities
We seek a Senior Carbon & Net Zero Consultant who thrives on solving complex sustainability challenges and blends technical expertise with commercial insight to drive meaningful climate impact.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the strategy and delivery of our Carbon and Strategy Services, covering:
- Scope 1-3 Carbon Footprints
- SECR, CDP Net Zero Pathways, SBTi, Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Transition Plans
- Qualitative and quantitative climate scenario analysis
- FLAG emissions calculations and carbon footprint verification (advantageous)
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects like Scope 1-3 Carbon Footprinting.
- Proactively identifying client leads, designing, and selling projects to align clients’ goals with our expertise.
- Delivering high-quality, budget-conscious services that ensure long-term impact.
- Anticipating client needs and linking solutions to future objectives.
- Leading process improvements across Carbon and Strategy Services and the wider team.
- Building strong, lasting client and colleague relationships.
- Representing Seismic at industry events.

About You
Core Attributes & Skills
You’re driven to accelerate humanity and businesses toward a sustainable future, eager to apply your consulting and analytical capabilities to collaborate with a friendly, supportive, and high-impact team.
To excel in this role, you should:
- Have a track record of growing a consulting team in a sustainability services business.
- Prove expertise in securing new business from existing and new clients, with commercial insight.
- Balance detail orientation with pragmatic decision-making.
- Excel in data processing, analysis, and transformations, with a preference for advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and optional tools like Python/PowerBI.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the GHG Protocol and SBTi methodology.
- Flourish in leading Scope 1-3 Net Zero and Climate Risk projects.
- Adapt effortlessly to clients of all sizes—from energetic SMEs to complex corporates.
- Possess strong consulting skills, including:
- Client relationship-building
- Project and risk management
- Report writing
- Persuasive presentations
- Driving client success
Additionally, you:
- Love clientwork and iterating products/services with teammates.
- Are a team player—enjoying collaboration, levity, and the ability to adapt when needed.
- Embrace continuous learning in sustainability.
- Thrive in a fast-growing, agile, and evolving environment.
- Prefer working with a young, purpose-driven business over a large corporate.

Location & Working Arrangements
You’ll be within commuting distance of our London office and require in-office attendance (Waterloo) at least twice per week.
Flexible hours allow us to prioritise personal well-being while remaining considerate of colleagues and clients. Part-time arrangements are open for discussion.
