Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse – Theatres

The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham

Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, early and late shifts
Competitive salary plus allowances

We’re looking for a Cath Lab Nurse to join our Theatre team at The Harborne Hospital. You’ll be part of a service that is still growing, in a hospital designed from the ground up to support complex, modern care. Opened in 2024, The Harborne Hospital brings together advanced technology, specialist teams and a genuinely collaborative way of working, all within a purpose-built environment focused on improving patient outcomes and experience.

As HCA Healthcare UK’s flagship hospital in the Midlands, The Harborne Hospital offers a unique setting. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the £100 million facility includes 50 inpatient beds, a Level 3 intensive care unit, advanced imaging and four theatres, including a dedicated hybrid theatre. Every part of the hospital has been designed to support minimally invasive techniques, faster recovery and truly joined-up care across cardiac, cancer, orthopaedic and complex surgical pathways.

As a Cath Lab Nurse in the hybrid theatre, you’ll be part of a team delivering interventional cardiology procedures within a highly specialised environment. Working closely with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary colleagues, you’ll support both diagnostic and interventional cases, ensuring patients feel safe, informed and cared for throughout their journey. You’ll rotate between scrub and circulating duties, contribute to the smooth running of the lab, and build your experience in a setting that encourages learning and development. With a growing service and access to modern technology, this is a role where you can deepen your expertise and develop your career in cardiac care.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
