Role Overview
We can offer an exceptional opportunity for an experienced radiographer to join our dynamic team providing a 24/7 Primary PCI service and carrying out all invasive cardiac catheter lab procedures.
(Experience In Cardiac Radiography Is Not Essential)
About Us
We are at the cutting edge of research, and our service has an international reputation where we participate in live transmissions via satellite at major conferences.
We have 6 cardiac catheter labs fitted with state-of-the-art facilities including some of the latest electrophysiological equipment.
You will rapidly expand your skill set with a varied and interesting workload taking place across our interventional, electrophysiological and pacing labs.
We offer a supportive environment with a strong focus on continued professional development through courses and training programs.
Responsibilities
- To work alongside cardiologists, cardiac physiologists and nurses as part of a multi-disciplinary team to maximise the daily throughput of elective and emergency work.
- To set and maintain standards of appearance and professional attitude.
- To undertake examinations having first assessed the clinical requirements and sought any guidance required.
- To participate in all activities within the cardiac department as required.
- To participate in the workload and monitor work being performed in the catheter lab.
- To participate in the on-call rota on completion of training and competency levels and reside within 1 hour travelling time from the hospital when on call.
