Cardiac Solutions Business Development Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cardiac Solutions Business Development Manager based in United Kingdom.

This leadership opportunity focuses on driving the commercial growth of cardiac solutions across Europe through strategic partnerships, innovative business models, and customer-centric approaches.

You will help expand adoption of advanced intracardiac echocardiography solutions, including applications supporting structural heart and electrophysiology procedures.

As part of a European leadership team, you will connect commercial strategy with clinical evidence, customer engagement, and capability development.

You will also lead a centralized team of Clinical Application Specialists supporting critical customer cases across multiple European markets.

The role requires strong commercial judgment, clinical understanding, financial acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

You will shape market strategies by monitoring competitive dynamics, emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for portfolio expansion.

This is a field-based leadership role offering significant regional impact within a fast-growing cardiovascular technology business.

Accountabilities

  • Lead European commercial execution while ensuring clinical resources, customer partnerships, and strategic initiatives are aligned to measurable business and customer outcomes.
  • Drive the execution of the Cardiac Solutions commercial strategy across Europe.
  • Identify, develop, and scale innovative commercial models and strategic partnerships tailored to local market needs.
  • Support accelerated growth and adoption of intracardiac echocardiography solutions across structural heart and electrophysiology applications.
  • Lead and oversee a centralized European pool of Clinical Application Specialists supporting critical customer cases when local resources are unavailable.
  • Prioritize and allocate clinical resources based on customer urgency, business impact, operational efficiency, and financial considerations.
  • Balance clinical support coverage and cost effectiveness to maximize customer and business outcomes.
  • Connect clinical evidence generation and dissemination with commercial strategy, translating data into compelling value-based propositions.
  • Support the adoption of new solutions and encourage changes in clinical practice through evidence-based customer engagement.
  • Partner with Medical Education to develop capabilities across the Cardiac Solutions organization through targeted training, knowledge transfer, and best-practice sharing.
  • Develop strategic engagement plans for key opinion leaders across Europe.
  • Build strong relationships with senior clinical stakeholders and leverage executive engagement where appropriate to strengthen advocacy and partnerships.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, customer needs, and broader industry developments.
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable recommendations for strategic planning, portfolio positioning, and commercial execution.
  • Collaborate across commercial, clinical, medical education, and leadership functions to ensure effective execution of regional priorities.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate combines substantial medical device experience with strategic leadership, commercial expertise, and the ability to operate effectively across geographically dispersed teams and complex healthcare environments.
  • At least 5 years of business development or strategic leadership experience within the medical device industry.
  • Experience in Structural Heart, Electrophysiology, cardiovascular technologies, or a closely related medical device field is strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of people leadership experience, including managing high-performing and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to translate strategic priorities into measurable commercial results.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare markets, customer needs, clinical environments, and commercial dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn market and competitive insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior clinical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop compelling value propositions that connect clinical evidence with customer and business needs.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership capabilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accountability, execution, and measurable performance.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, international environment with different market needs and priorities.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution and decision-making capabilities.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a field-based role, including regular engagement with customers and stakeholders across Europe.
