We are looking for caring, resilient and motivated individuals to join our Day Service team as Facilitators. This is a varied and hands on role where no two days are the same. You will support young people and adults with complex disabilities to take part in learning, therapy, social activities and community experiences, helping them to reach their full potential.
Working as part of a skilled multi disciplinary team, you will collaborate with therapists, tutors, nurses and care professionals to provide high quality support centred around each person's individual needs and aspirations.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Facilitator, you will play a key role in supporting people throughout their day. This may include:
- Supporting individuals with complex physical and learning disabilities.
- Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion.
- Assisting with eating, drinking and specialist feeding plans.
- Using communication aids, mobility equipment and hoists safely.
- Supporting learning activities in classrooms and community settings.
- Helping people access social, leisure and therapeutic activities, including swimming and hydrotherapy sessions.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual progress reviews.
- Working closely with colleagues, families and professionals to deliver person centred support.

This is a physically and emotionally demanding position. You will be supporting individuals with complex needs, which may include personal care, moving and handling, managing behaviours of concern and responding to health needs.
The role requires you to work at pace, adapt to changing situations and take responsibility for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those you support.

Following successful completion of probation, there may be opportunities to:
- Develop advanced healthcare skills with training and clinical support.
- Support community activities and appointments.
- Drive National Star vehicles following relevant training.
- Take on medication administration responsibilities as a Facilitator+ with additional pay.
- Progress to an Advanced Facilitator role, supporting shift coordination, staff development and activity planning, with further pay progression.
We actively support professional development, including Health and Social Care qualifications and specialist training.
Working Hours
Facilitators work on a two week rota pattern.
Shifts can include:
- Early starts from 9am (with one early start 8am to attend a team meeting) Monday to Friday.
- Evening finishes up to 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Working up to two shift every other weekend- hours vary and include from 9:30am- 8pm.
Positions may be available on either:
- Term Time Only contracts working approximately 39 weeks per year, aligned with local school terms.
- Flexibility is important as services operate across different sites and community locations.

What We're Looking For
You do not need extensive experience to apply. We welcome candidates who share our values and are willing to learn.

Experience in health care, social care, education or supporting people with disabilities would be beneficial, but is not essential.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Good standard of spoken and written English.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
- Commitment to training and ongoing professional development.
- Ability to work safely with vulnerable adults and young people.
- A driving licence is advantageous, and candidates with D1 entitlement are particularly welcomed.
