Optimum Dynamic Care is a CQC-registered provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that supports the well-being, independence, and dignity of individuals across Dorset and surrounding areas. The organisation offers a range of services, including domiciliary care, crisis response, respite care, and complex support tailored to each service user’s unique needs. Care is provided in people’s homes and communities, enabling them to live safely and independently. Services span personal care, medical care, home support, and specialised care for individuals with specific health conditions or disabilities.

Role Description

The Care Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bournemouth. The Care Assistant will provide person-centred support with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility assistance, dressing, and bathing, while promoting independence and dignity.   • Monitoring general well-being
  • Reporting any changes in health or circumstances to senior staff
  • Helping with household tasks
  • Meal preparation
  • Offering companionship to reduce isolation and enhance quality of life

Care Assistants will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, follow care plans, maintain accurate records, and uphold all safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong caregiving skills, including experience in personal care and support in domiciliary or residential settings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, listen actively, and collaborate with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Dementia care skills and an understanding of supporting individuals with cognitive or complex needs in a respectful, person-centred way.
  • Safe manual handling skills and awareness of mobility support techniques to reduce risk and promote comfort.
  • Relevant care certificates or NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards these) would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and infection control practices would be beneficial.
  • Reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to high-quality, non-discriminatory care would be beneficial.
  • A valid right to work in the UK and the ability to meet any required background checks would be beneficial.
