Part-Time Care Assistant – £12.71ph | 27 Hours | Fixed Rota

Alexandra House Care Home, Ludlow

Looking for a part-time care role with a rota you can actually plan around?

Alexandra House is a friendly 20-bed residential care home in Ludlow, and we’re looking for a caring and reliable Part-Time Care Assistant to join our team.

This role follows a fixed two-week rolling rota, averaging 27 hours per week, so you’ll know your regular working pattern in advance, including every other weekend off.

Previous care experience is preferred, but it isn’t essential. What matters most is that you’re compassionate, dependable and genuinely want to make a difference to the people you support.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you’ll support our residents with their everyday lives while promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily routines
  • Assisting with mobility, meals and dietary needs
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Promoting dignity, independence and choice
  • Supporting residents’ wellbeing
  • Maintaining accurate care records
  • Working alongside colleagues to provide safe, person-centred care

Your Fixed Rota

Week 1 – 28 hours

  • Monday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
  • Tuesday: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
  • Sunday: 3:00pm – 10:00pm

Week 2 – 26 hours

  • Monday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
  • Tuesday: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
  • Friday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: Off

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, patient and compassionate
  • Reliable and able to commit to the fixed rota
  • Comfortable providing personal care
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Willing to learn and develop
  • Committed to treating residents with dignity and respect

Previous care experience and a Care Certificate are preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
