Care Assistant – Companionship & Home Support (Part-Time) (Home Instead West Exeter & Teignbridge)
About Home Instead West Exeter & Teignbridge
Home Instead has delivered outstanding home care since 2017 to thousands of clients across the region. Our mission? To help adults stay safe, happy and independent in their own homes while fostering companionship, reassurance, and genuine human connection.
We reject the rushed, corporate care model. Instead, we prioritise meaningful relationships, ensuring every client has familiar faces for minimum 1-hour visits. Our carers are matched with clients based on personality, interests, and trust—so care feels personal, not transactional.
Our carers aren’t just service providers; they’re valued team members. You’ll find deep satisfaction in your work and feel supported as you go.
Why This Role Stands Out
At Home Instead, we don’t offer generic care—we invest in relationships and reliability.
Key Benefits of This Approach
- Stable & Predictable Care: You’ll visit the same clients at the same times, building trust over weeks and months.
- Careful Matching: Your personalities, routines, and interests align with your clients’ needs—so every interaction flows naturally.
- Seamless Onboarding:
- Shadow experienced carers to get to know clients, their homes, and routines before independent visits.
- Introduce yourself to clients in advance, eliminating awkward first impressions.
- Time to Connect: With minimum 1-hour visits, you can chat, listen, and brighten someone’s day without clock scrutiny.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
